"Have lived downtown for 10 years. Love it. So much to do, restaurants, entertainment. The lakes. Easy access to public transportation. "
  • Nicholas Vest
"I don’t see as many families in the new multi-level apartment buildings (the high rises). There are some families living downtown, but they might be in condos. The west and east sides outside the square and campus housing have many more families. Downtown is great for the children’s museum, farmers market, and monona terrace has live music, etc. sometimes. Outside of the square, there are nice parks for kids and families with play sets and beaches."
  • Jillian S.
"Living downtown is great! Walking distance to almost everything and beautiful old trees and houses. "
  • Trulia User
"College kids everywhere, and also government employees, politicians and young professionals. It’s an interesting mix that’s for sure."
  • Kilee R.
"This is still really a big college neighborhood. Though there are more families here than elsewhere, it still gives off college vibes"
  • linda G

"
  • Natasha O.
"Lots of friendly dogs walking in the downtown area. Close to dog parks. Very close to a dog park with trash receptacles. "
  • Madelinefritz
"Close to Bars and restaurants. Close to the lake path. Not close to quality grocery stores. Mosquitos and spiders are plentiful in this area. Housing Prices way too high."
