5/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageIt has been such an honor to have our son James be a student of Liz Ruba at Kelly Elementary School. Our son is very bright, but Ms. Ruba has ignited in him a passion for learning and a process to acquire reading and math to quench his hunger for knowledge. She has had a remarkable impact on his life, one that extends to his home life where he now reads us three books a day. We are so grateful for Ms. Ruba and cherish what a blessing she has been for him. Kelly Elementary has excellent systems for learning and also great school leadership through its principal, Christian Ruhl.Parent Review8y ago - Lewisburg High School

8/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageOn more than one occasion Lewisburg High School has run out of food to serve the students for lunch. Many students were left without lunch. Students who were able to get lunches shared and some students bought food at the vending machines. The school district is not suffering financially and can certainly afford to buy food. However, some families are suffering and for those students, that lunch might have been the only meal that student thought he or she could count on. The school pays Bucknell University $10,000 for every home football game, because they use the university's field, but somehow they don't have enough food for the students to eat. This is just one of the examples of how messed up the administration's priorities are. If you were to ask the principal about the situation, he would deny it, because the only thing he is concerned with is the school's image.Parent Review10y ago - Donald H Eichhorn Middle School

7/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageAs a Lewisburg parent, I feel very strongly that DHEMS deserves a glowing review. It's awful that a bitter person takes the time to bash the school's staff with a negative review. How cowardly. Rather than calling others names like worthless, take a good hard look at yourself and your parenting. On to more important things - this middle school has consistently outperformed all area schools in terms of standardized testing. That's not what makes DHEMS special, though. It truly is the teachers, principal, and staff. I have seen them to go great lengths to make sure students' needs are met. They care about kids. With everything from rigorous curriculum to exploratory clubs to social emotional learning, this middle school goes above and beyond. I cannot say enough about how this middle school champions for their students!Parent Review5mo ago - Check out schools near 316 N 4th St.
