About this House

The house is only 10 years old. I bought it brand new, but moved away when I got a new job. The place has great curb appeal. It's in a quiet neighborhood. The kitchen is spacious and comes with appliances. There is a nice big back yard for pet owners. The garage is attached, and there has a remote opener. The floors are hard wood and they look great. Although I've never had any problems with the house, I am always available and accessible if renters need something. We moved to Springfield for the 2024-2025 school year and my daughter attended 7th and 8th grade here before moving on the Central High School. Westport Middle was just okay in my opinion. I would consider my daughter an average student that doesn’t really need extra help. The course work seemed boring and convoluted. She was able to do the work and pass classes but there seemed to be no passion/creativity in the coursework. Lots of Chromebook usage. At one point she said they weren’t learning any social studies curriculum because they didn’t have an actual teacher, just a permanent substitute. She tried to play basketball 8th grade year and ended up having to have games and practice over at Pipkin which created extra hassle for her and us. She was bummed about it. I felt like I never really knew her teachers or what they were learning in class even with the constant assignment reminders from their portal thing. In conclusion, our experience was mediocre at best. It will get the job done but nothing to brag about.

"There is a boys and girls club that provides activities and guidance for children after school. There is also many fine parks in my neighborhood area. The children can play ball and ride their bikes on my street without worrying about people running them over. The streets are posted with a speed limit sign that also warns drivers that children are playing. "

"this neighborhood has vastly improved but still got a ways to go. 20 years ago it was kind of scary. the woodland heights, Grant beach, west side is coming back to its glory. unique charming old homes . it's fun to be able to walk to square"

"Friendly neighborhood. Everyone is willing to lend a hand and looks out for each other. Not to far from local colleges, about 5 minutes away from OTC and MSU and down town. This area is a very convenient, central location of Springfield."

"A safe place to live. Affordable housing for working-class folks. Close to everything Springfield has to offer. Plenty of public transportation traversing the area. A short drive to major roads leading throughout the city and surroundings. I have never heard of any flooding problems in this area and the city utilities are well-installed and maintained. I have lived in many places across the USA and this area is among the quietest and safest I have lived in."
