"Wildlife and rural feel and close to town in Atascadero. We are 1/2 miles to grocery stores but have to be careful to not hit a deer driving home "
  • Jessika Siroonian
"Short drive to work, parks, anything. Nice weather, safe, well kept and everything along those lines. "
  • Hailey Van Zee
"It’s aight but not perfect. I get it’s better than other places but people here are mean and makes me want to leave "
  • Alexandria Luna
"Love this area. Friendly locals and lots of local activities throughout the year. Great place to raise a family "
  • Ukulelebard
"There are a lot of good walking trails and parks. There aren’t very many dog friendly businesses, but there are plenty of pet supply stores, vets, etc. "
  • Ukulelebard
"The shops and such aren’t very dog friendly, but there are several nice parks and walking trails in and around town that make it an ideal spot to have dogs. There’s also at least one pet supply store in town, several vets (including an emergency vet), and dog groomers. "
  • Chyna T.
"Lots of hills, they are beautiful but not ideal for safety when it comes to bike riding. It's great for experienced riders, as long as cars are polite and drive slow. I wish we had sidewalks and bike lanes. Tons of deer, that's the best part!! The deer are very comfortable in this neighborhood, they are a joy to watch. We are in a forest in essence, oak trees, hills and deer for days! "
  • Jenean.brown
"Lots of dog families in the neighborhood with responsible and friendly owners. Most people clean up after their dogs. Downside are the increased number of homeless people some with dogs. "
  • Jamie C.
"We all look out for each other. Everyone knows my daughter and watches out for her and our home. A quick walk to downtown for annual events as well. "
  • Jamie C.
"People always walking their dogs. All dogs in the neighborhood bark, they are happy and are allowed to do so!"
  • Unspecified
"I have lived here for 4 years,...wish the transit was frequent instead of once an hour. That’s the facts!"
  • Chyna T.
"Quiet neighborhood with lots of wildlife. We love living here, it's so serene. Oak tree's everywhere, hills and apple trees. It's a dream to be here in the forest but still in town."
  • Smartin_art

  • Jamiehacker108
"A lot of people have dogs and walk them daily. There are also dog parks and dog beaches on the coast you can easily drive to."
  • Smartin_art
"Great place to walk dog and see neighbors! Friendly community and often seen dogs out for walk. Most people pickup after dogs and keep on leashes "
  • Jamiehacker109
"There are a lot of dog owners and people usually pick up the poop which is nice. There is also a dog park."
  • Mhorgan99
"No dogs allowed in my condos. The beautiful homes in the hills of Atascadero, however, are very dog friendly. There are nice parks and sidewalks for dogs too"

  • Jamiehacker109

  • Unspecified

  • Christopher h.
"I've lived in this neighborhood for four years and the neighborhood is very family oriented and rural living is cherished. The neighborhood is nestled between the Salinas river Pine mountain and chalk mountain. There are tons of deer and boat loads of beautiful birds that call the neighborhood home too. Great hiking trails are on either end of the neighborhood and there are tons of fun outdoors things to keep children busy; hiking, biking, collecting turtles and lizards, fishing back yard camping, horseback riding, raising chicks, gardening This is one of the better neighborhoods to raise up well grounded kids."
  • Irishlass67
"It’s rural, but with great neighbors. We have wild life around us and we are on enough land to have our own animals and 4H projects here. The weather is warm but not as warm as it is farther north. "
  • Happy R.
"nice..clean...friendly neighbourhood. no trafic jam...clean air...fresh and beautiful area. Close to highway."
  • jamie_riker
"Atascadero is a small town with friendly people. The middle school and high school are both really good."
