"It’s fine my commute to work and back home is fine there’s traffic sometimes, but nothing I can’t handle. I really enjoy being in evergreen park, very safe, quiet place to be ..if ever to live here you’ll really enjoy your surroundings. Evergreen Park is my home. "
  • Unspecified
"I work from home and my kids school and grocery stores are no more than 5-10 minutes away! Everything is close by so that is a plus!"
  • Unspecified
"I work from home and my children attend the neighborhood schools. All stores are not far so the commute to anywhere is great. Except for when the trains come "
  • Lori A Thompson
"I really love my neighborhood! The people are amazing and it’s close to everything you’d need as far as restaurants and other needs! Wouldn’t consider anywhere else!"

  • Annette Terita Smith
"While no area is 100% safe, here you do overall experience a feeling of safety compared to other places. The shopping opportunities are very good. Just about anything you want is within a short commute. It’s very quiet and not trashy."
  • Bruce W Herron
"I’ve lived in EP for 4 years. Neighbors interact with each other and help to protect each other’s property. Also very kid friendly community."
  • Annette Terita Smith
"Quiet, lots of places to shop & plenty of restaurants. Dogs seem to enjoy their walks. Evergreen Park borders Chicago, but still maintains a quiet suburban flavor. There are nice schools from birth. elementary, and high school."
  • Meghan Jarema
"Evergreen park is safe, has great schools and a lot of parks. Everybody knows their neighbors. It’s a great community."
  • Trulia User
"I don’t live in this neighborhood but know a couple of people who do. It is pretty safe. I am fairly familiar and if I could afford it, I would consider buying a house."
  • Hollee M.
"Great place to live. Family friendly. Relatively safe. Very quiet being so close to the city. Close to any and all amenities. "
  • Mrsdomenech
"We have a dog park at 50 acre park! It is a great place to take your dog to socialize, for a walk, to exercise or just to get out the house! "
  • Rob N.
"Plenty of people walking their dogs around the streets and parks. There's also a local fenced and secure dog park. "

"There is nothing not to like wonderful neighborhood pet friendly great police officers dog owners would love the neighborhood "
  • Winonaronline
"They would appreciate that the dogs that are being walked are well behaved and the owner are friendly. Most owners pick up excrement left by dogs but there are a few who don’t."
  • Enoel5858
"Kind of difficult, not enough bus service. I have to drive to most spots and I don’t like to drive. Bus would be more economical for me and most people. The 95th Street bus should run more frequently."
  • Igotppl
"Very family friendly community, with multiple generations of families living in the community. Lots of shops and stores to patronize."
  • Vina R. K.
"Twenty years and it hasn’t changed. Responsible owners keep their property’s up, well most do. Unfortunately we have folks moving in that harbor numerous family members living in one space "
  • neighborhood friend
"This neighborhood is like living with people that act like it’s Beverly Hills in California but they are lying to themselves. You also have some kind people but for the most part everyone is scared because the neighborhood is changing and it’s changing fast. It’s like a harsh reality to everyone. Everyone feels poorer I think. A lot of good hard working people blue collar. ❤️"
  • Eileen S.
"Nice family neighborhood, but can be very racially divided. Chicago in general is very racially charged"
  • LB1023
"It is a dog friendly neighborhood and as long as you keep your dog on a leash and clean up after them it should be ok."
  • Igotppl
"A very family friendly neighborhood with good school and churches. Multi generations live in the community."
  • David M.
"this is a very dog friendly neighborhood lots of people in the neighborhood have pets and are very responsible when it comes to cleaning up after them. no one seems to leave their dogs out at all hours of the night making all kinds of noise either which is nice."
  • David M.
"this is a very family-friendly neighborhood people really keep up their homes and a lot of homes have great curb appeal."
  • T M
"I’ve lived in this area for over 20 years. I’m selling my house and staying in the same neighborhood. Only downsizing. Great family place to live. "
  • Markus C.
"Drive slowly down the street cause children are at play and just have fun with the neighbors and get to know them "
