my kids go to Bottenfield and we have had nothing short than an amazing experience, the staff is so engaged and everyone knows everyone. i do with there were more holiday programs available for the kids, it was sad that I didn't get to see my kindergarteners do any kind of holiday musical program or anything. other than that i have no complaints, my kids are happy and smart and love their school.

We moved to this school from out of state and this school is amazing. We have Mx. Smith and Mrs. Beckett and they have both been amazing teachers. I have never had a parent teacher conference with such a detailed report and recommendations on what areas our kids need to work on. They really go above and beyond here. We couldn't be happier!

What is so unique and lovely about Kenwood is the small family-like environment. A lot of the teachers and administration have been around for a long time and they all know all the children. You get the feeling that everyone is watching out for your kid starting from kindergarten and I love that they already know them when they get into older grade classrooms.My kids teachers have been amazing at watching out for students at different levels and trying to differentiate their work so nobody is left behind or bored. I’ve appreciated them even allowing some of my kids to join other grade level classes for specific classes if they felt that the work would be more challenging and engaging for them. The teachers have reached out to me on their own initiative to try creative solutions to meet them where they’re at with so much thoughtfulness. It’s really a hidden gem. A lot of people don’t like to choose it because they don’t love the neighborhood surrounding the school but it has really been a wonderful place of learning and making meaningful connections for all my kids. We’ve never had issues with bullying either. My older two have moved on but doing fantastic academically and socially.

The most previous administration and the newly hired administration are equally as terrible. (Tee & Schnelle) They have collectively ruined the school atmosphere and have caused all of the respected veteran teachers to leave. I just learned that they denied a respected teacher who has been there for years the opportunity to return. (I believe she left due to the previous administrator who recently was demoted) Also, Schnelle is making it very difficult for another teacher, who's amazing, to get a job in another district by giving her bad referrals. Meanwhile, fourth and fifth grade are out of control! Test scores are dropping and it's just a hot mess over there. Administration puts personal feelings before what is best for students. They also got rid of Science/STEM/enrichment. If you have the opportunity to send your child elsewhere, I highly recommend, anywhere but here. (until current admin,Schnelle, is replaced)

If you want your child to be attacked by other students and want your child to watch students attack teachers, then send your child to Westview where they will be trained to be a "wild cat."

I got traumatized by this mess of a school. I am a former student of this school.
