"Oakley is by far the top community in Cincinnati. It’s a great mix of friendly professional’s, young families, singles as well as empty nesters. Everyone looks out for each other and people that move here from out of state have told me that they felt welcomed and at home within a very short period of time. Most end up staying for a lifetime! The homeowners take great care of their property with beautiful landscaping. The Wasson Way Trail is perfect for walking with dogs and friends, pushing a stroller, and bicycling. There are so many great local restaurants and bars that are dog friendly. The location is the best with hospitals, UC, Xavier University, OTR and downtown just minutes away, with quick and easy access to I-71. Everything you need can be found right within beautiful and walkable Oakley! "
  • Hilary Helsinger
"Things like party in the park at Washington Park. We also have a blink which is a huge light and art festival. Cincinnati actually has a lot of really cool things to do."
  • David Levine
"Nice friendly neighborhood with lots of kids and older folks. Very pleasant and well maintained homes"
  • Oakley Resident
"If I were a dog owner, I’d hate all the hills, the car congestion, the noise pollution, and the fact there’s no dog parks. "
  • Trulia User
"There are a good number of other dog walkers here. Depending on where you are in the neighborhood there may be pretty nice sidewalks and safety from cars thanks to cars parked on the side of the road."
  • Diazi
"It has a diverse amount of shops and Restaurants. The neighborhood appears friendly, safe, and peaceful."
  • Trulia User
"Sunday farmer’s market is always fun, and there’s always a buzz in Hyde Park Square on summer evenings."
  • Maci M.
"I’ve lived in Oakley for 4 years and I love it! Very family friendly but also great bars you can walk too! "
  • Jack V. H.
"Everyone loves dogs around here. Many small businesses are within walking distance. It’s truly a place to find yourself. "
  • Rhendrixn
"It has good shopping, food and amenities for a small area. I enjoy living here, but it’s expensive for one person. Only 15 minutes to downtown and the neighborhood is super dog-friendly. "
  • Matt S.
"Traffic. Too busy. Too loud. Don’t do it if you like your privacy or want a good place for your dogs "
  • Randy R.
"Oakley is an amazing area for people to live. We have access to anything quickly here. Very very safe too!"
  • Stevenson7496
"Good place to live if you’re young and like night life and easy travel. Otherwise it’s too busy and noisy"
  • Maryccooley
"Great neighborhood for dogs that are on leashes. Once a year, there is a dog party in Oakley on the square. "
  • Jbgm88
"Just visiting, I work near by and it seems to be a decent neighborhood. I frequent it often. Lots to do around the neighborhood "
  • Casey B.
"Oakley Square has lots of block party/events in the summer. Rookwood is easy to get to for shopping and dining as well."
  • Akstrong89
"There are tons of people walking dogs constantly but many of the sidewalks are in bad shape. Walkers are good about cleaning up after their pets. "
  • Clontzkaten
"great access to 71. close to the Norwood lateral also. long commute but I work in fairfield. 71 has terrible traffic in the morning but it is what it is "
