"I'm not aware of community events besides Halloween but the people are friendly and there is a few schools very close to the actual neighborhood. I have never had any issues living here and it has been a very safe environment so far from the time that I have lived here. I am very happy with everything except the roads which are bumpy and some potholes. These items get taken care of throughout the year."
  • Trulia User

  • Diana C.
"Great neighborhood for young families. School is inside the neighborhood, tons of kids always playing out side, people running, walking, working in their yards. It’s basically Mayberry "
  • Courtney G.
"The public transit has several pick up points one being right at corner of our street. There are several stops at local shopping centers. You can get around town anywhere in 10 minutes."
  • Rest A.
"The roads are clutter free when utilizing roads away from entry and exit points from Camp Lejeune. I would use an app to navigate roads during peak traffic periods. Jacksonville has smooth roads inside the heart of the city. I would only use mass transit in this town if I was not in a rush. "
  • Tylerpeck923
"Times are changing, just always show love to your children. A lot of marines so the streets are dangerous at night buh people are mostly friendly. "

  • Dakotadalton10
"My family and I attempt to get as far away from Jacksonville as possible. This is probably the only way you are going to have anything fun or special. I would recommended Swansboro. A lot of festivities and such. Small and quite."
  • Donnate.distance19
"fun every weekend. movie night on fridays. swimming pool parties during birthdays. cleaning. crew when needed. help each other if needed."
  • A guy who lives there
