this school is only focused on sports, getting rid of every art program to fund weightlifting. with the students being disrespectful and rude and not being stopped, constant fights in the halls, people skipping classes. every teacher buries the students in work that takes hours to finish, ignoring the fact that some of us have jobs and important things to do out of the building, the staff are immoral and stuck up, the principal does nothing other than stand around. not to mention the school getting rid of paintings from the 80's just to put up stupid low quality banners that are ugly and unfitting, the school is untidy having rats and roaches around, the old gym had not been cleaned since 2020 until last year when everyone had to complain. moral is i dont recommend this school the teachers wont teach you anything.

The score 9/10 is only because pressure is placed on the teachers and students to provide high test scores. The school is a toxic environment for teachers and students. There are some slivers of positive aspects of the school but everything trickles down from poor leadership which is the current principal. The teachers and students feed off the negative energy that the principal exudes. She treats the students like they are mini adults instead of children. She needs retraining. The teachers perform poorly due to the stress they feel from principal. If your child goes here…. Stay involved. Ask questions and ask principal what she did about a situation that you went to her about. Often she does not follow up and gaslights. She has more of an authority type leadership. Definitely not well suited for middle school. One time she said “ you are an embarrassment” to a child. Not appropriate to say.

My child’s IEP means nothing to this school. If the staff decides your child is a “problem” her/she is just sent away time and time again. Classic example of how the system is failing our children. It’s easier for them to send the child to a different room or send them home then assess the problem and find a way to help. Children with disabilities were born with these obstacles and never asked to be. They need help from their teachers finding ways to learn despite the obstacles. This school ignores these children and and prevents them from finding the tools necessary to becoming thriving educated young adults. Not to mention the daily fights and constant bullying that is ignored and swept under the rug. Would not recommend this school.
