6/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageOur child loves Waterbury! My husband and I are both educators, and we are very impressed with our child's education. The curriculum taught is research-based, our child always makes growth, and loves her teachers!! I love that there is a before-school/after-school childcare program through the park district that is also convenient, safe, and fun. Parents are very involved, the PTO is always welcoming to families, and there are many ways to involve yourself in the school as a parent. There are fun clubs too after school for older students, and our child definitely takes advantage of those opportunities!Parent Review1y ago7 Reviews - Spring Wood Middle School

5/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageMy kid is failing every class yet they have moved them from 6th to 7th to now 8th. They have disregarded concerns about this stating that once the child reaches freshman year they learn the hard way or become super freshman. Essentially stating it's the high schools problem they just want to shuffle the kids along to be some one else's problem.Parent Review11mo ago13 Reviews - Lake Park High School

7/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageTwo of my children graduated from Lake Park and the third is still a student. The school has a strict policy about students' safety in school physically and emotionally. They did an awesome job during Covid and were pretty quick and efficient in adjusting to the unexpected change. The staff deal appropriately with unfortunate events and encourage students to seek help and "say something". I love how parents are very involved in school extracurriculars and educational events. Students can benefit from a very useful tutoring program available before, during and after school. The variety of courses offered is quite impressive and teachers do a wonderful job preparing students for the AP tests, which is how they score so well. Dual Credits are also offered. My children were very well prepared for college and saved ample time and money. Now with the new principal, things are even better. My appreciation to the dedicated and competent teachers who gave their best to prepare our children for college.Parent Review9mo ago14 Reviews - Check out schools near 306 Timberleaf Cir.

"There are people walking their dogs all day around here. Everyone is very friendly. They all pick up after their own pets. I am not a dog owner so can’t really speak on more about that. Not sure of dog parks but do see a lot of dogs in the area. "

"It’s a very Great community! Super friendly but most dog owners don’t listen and like to have their dogs off leash and greet other dogs that might not be friendly. They also usually don’t pick up there after their dogs on our lawn."

"I see people walking their dogs all around my neighborhood. I even walk my dog in the neighborhood. The park by my house has dog bags and a garage can so the owners can clean up after their dog, which is nice to have."

"Everyone minds their own business. You don’t have to worry about drive bys, gangs, or your home getting robbed or fear of drug dealer recruiting your kid while on the way to school. It’s a quite, welcoming suburb. Great schools. Neighbors are friendly and helpful. And welcoming people. School bus stops on every other corner. "
