8/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThis school is currently unacceptable in providing a safe and adequate learning environment for students. I have an 8th grade student who has been there since 6th grade. Six and seventh grade were fine. Administration changed and so did the atmosphere. There are websites of children fighting, several websites. When I brought this to administration after my child was assaulted, they did an "investigation" and found nothing. I went to Plano Police department and they referred me back to the resource officer because it happened on campus. I was told that children will fight. She was attacked and nothing was done. There was a change in so many teachers along with a new principal. I understand this cannot be helped. But it has drastically affected my students experience in orchestra and theater. At this point I'm just trying to get her through the year. I am just grateful that she will not be subjected to Williams High School.Parent Review4w ago - Williams High School

5/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageAwful school. The principal and APs are rude, incompetent, and judgmental. I wouldn't entrust them with my children. If you can I would stay away and request a transfer.Parent Review5y ago - Plano East Sr High School

6/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThe good thing about East is that no one cares. You're able to wear a lot more stuff (ex: ripped jeans, hats), you can wear earbuds in the hallway, and you can sit anywhere you want on (or off) campus during lunch. The bad thing about East is that no one cares; if you've got a problem, you're not going to get it resolved. Teachers regularly break rules and openly humiliate students, and administration will not do a thing. If you happen to get a good teacher for a class (ex: Ms. Devillier, Mr. Carter, Mr. Hall, Coach Rapp) you're really lucky, but those are hard to come by. The administrative staff is EXTREMELY rude and treats most of the students (and even parents) like animals. Many of my friends have gotten food poisoning from the school cafeteria, so go off campus or bring your food so you don't get sick. Cheating runs rampant, and there are so many students that trying to get in the top 10% if you don't take every class AP/IB is nearly impossible. Very academically driven school (everyone I know is either in dual credit, AP, or IB), so if you're looking for that kind of environment this is the place to be. However, be prepared to have about 3-5 hours of homework (generally busy work that the teachers LOVE to assign) each night if you're planning on taking any advanced classes, and this could easily be more. Getting involved in any extracurriculars is extremely time consuming but generally rewarding. Even if you're involved, there are about 1300 students in each graduating class so you're probably not going to stand out to any colleges, that's just the reality of the situation here. The school may look good and put together on the outside looking in, but there are some serious issues. It's only a matter of time before the entire charade collapses. If you really care about standing out as a student, I'd recommend going to Plano Senior or just skipping the Plano ISD senior high schools altogether, as this is the culture everywhere more or less.Student Review5y ago - McCall Elementary School

8/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageWe are new to the area and have twins in Kinder. While schools on the east side of I 75, seem to get consistently lower ratings than the newer schools on the other side of Plano, our experience with McCall could not be better. The administration is available, communicative and adjusts to challenges effectively. For example, this year there was a late surge of Kinder enrollment before the school started and in the first two weeks the school/district brought in a very experienced veteran teacher and created a new class without missing a beat. The teachers are exceptionally skilled at using technology to stay in touch and it is not uncommon to get text messages with a picture of your child during the day. The outside of class activities for students and the family are frequent and well planed and may overwhelm a family with two working parents. McCall is an excellent school.Parent Review5y ago - Check out schools near 3040 Martello Ln.

"I have lived here (timber brooks estates) for about 10 years. I have felt safe most of those years. All neighborhoods have crime, this for us has been minimal."

"I lived in this neighborhood for over ten years and I truly miss my old house. There is no better place for a family to have kids and to be able to enjoy their neighbors and neighborhood. Walking/biking trails are located at your doorstep. My kids were able to play in the yard and ride their bike without having to worry about getting run over by high amounts of traffic. I think this is one of the best neighborhoods in Plano and I would reccommend this area to anyone that wants to have a nice peaceful area to live."
