"Well I have both big dogs and little dogs the big dogs love it because of the space in the yard my little dog loves it as well but we seem to have hawks so I have to keep a eye out but other then that it’s a great play for animals of all kinds "

"I'm 42yrs old. I grew up in Evanston. It was quiet. I lived there with both my parents for about 20years then moved closer to work.. I still go back to visit them.. Seems like the same place I remember. "

"Kinda of crazy and disruptive sometime but no crime since I’ve been here and it’s been a year but I wouldn’t move back"
  • Gabrielle T.
"Evanston borders O'bryonville and Walnut Hills. It's very close to Oakely and Hyde Park. It's usually quite and clean. Very close to 71, shopping, and restaurants. Great for families, young professionals, as well as graduate students. "

"I've lived at DeSales Flats for the past 7 months and have mixed feelings about the community. The property management company, Towne, and the manager, Jenn, do a great job in maintaining the property, fixing things in a timely manner and making it a clean place to live. The surrounding area is not very nice but luckily, the safety in DeSales is very tight... which makes it a hassle if you have visitors, food delivered, packages delivered, etc. The rent is extremely high and it includes absolutely no amentities (parking and trash, I suppose). It is not pet friendly (cats only) and I do not find the residents particularly friendly to each other. I've lived here for 7 months and have not met a single person. In a nut shell, for the area and the lack of amentites, I would NOT reccomend this for the price; however, they are beautiful units and well maintained. They are still new but things are cheaply made... I'm curious to see how the kitchens and bathrooms look in a few years with wear and tear on the cheap fixtures. Also, there is absolutely no additional storage aside from your closets and a little room where your washer and dryer is. "
