"The bus needs to be on time and be safe for everyone "
  • Trulia User
"Many dogs that stay outside in the yard and bark at everything that passes them by, but those who are often seen walking with their owners are well-behaved. "
  • Trulia User
"I see people walking and running their dog often around. The neighborhood is fairly pet friendly and welcomed. "
  • Trulia User
"Access to public transportation is available. Main road has thinner lanes. Close access to interstate. In between two boulevard, so it can get busy. "
  • Ramonb0780
"I grew up around here and it’s changed a lot since I was a kid. My area is quiet neighbors are friendly. They take care of their homes. "
  • Patricia.y.sanders
"I’ve lived in this neighborhood for almost 10years. It’s fairly quiet and mostly retired and few military people live around here. "
  • Elaine C.
"Good neighbor, store closer, bus closer, church closer, restaurant closer, little safe in neighborhood "
  • Tamara W.
"it's ok to live here I only been here for 4 years. it's very lovely and quiet from what i can tell since we been here "
  • Shawnrmur
"The elementary school is the only downside of this area. Lindenwood elementary is ranked a 1 out of 10, middle and high schools are decent though. Better side to live on is on the shoop Ave side of the park, little sketchy the closer you go to Lafayette, but has definitely improved over the years. "
  • Trisha L.
"Not the best area Parking is horrible People are nasty and don’t clean up after themselves or pets Parents don’t watch what their kids do and it’s really dangerous. I had two kids think it was funny to try and grab onto my side mirrors . Frequent gun shots and robberies "
  • Hewill.musiclife
"The dogs scare the kids that play in the neighborhood. Owners probably wouldn’t like that. Though people walk dogs all of the time, it’s the same 3 or 4 that walk them every time. "
  • Joseph D.
"I've lived here for about 2 years now and it's a really nice and quiet neighborhood. property values are sure to rise up soon"
  • Mallardabbie63
"I live over in Lafayette resident Park from 1963 till 1976 safe quiet neighborhood live in nice to be close to grogery store and shopping center and bank and bakery I do miss Munder drug store in shopping center Abbie"
  • Evan B.
"Naval base and downtown are 10 minutes away. Virginia Beach is 20-30 depending on traffic. Within 10-15 minutes of all major shopping centers."
  • Patricia y. s.
"Friendly neighbors. 50% of community put up display for holidays. Not a lot community events. Clean neighborhood."
  • Mcdavis1978
"The commute to downtown is 5 minutes. Close to main roads which allows for easy travel to and from work. "
  • Patricia y. s.
"Very quite; mostly older people live here . Retired so barely any children unless it’s the holidays. There are constant changes to the neighborhood due to remodel or new construction. "
  • Leslie C.
"Everyone minds their business. Its quiet and slowly homes are getting remodeled. I've lived here for more than 14 years with less than a handdful of external issues in our neighborhood."
  • Norfolk R.
"This is a diverse neighborhood with an active civic league. With the variety of homes in the area, it is good for families with kids, singles, couples, and retirees. We're also very close to downtown Norfolk, the Naval Base, ODU, Rte. 64, and the Amtrak station. New businesses are opening up on Tidewater and Shoop. "
