Not a good school. Sad because we live in the same neighborhood and our kids went there for a few years. There are some great teachers there but the rezoning of the districts made a lot of rough kids from rough homes go to that school. We now drive 30 mins each way to take our kids to a much better school. The principal and assistant principal pretend to care but they are more focused on the lesser fortunes kids than the kids that do right and can read and spell etc. Do not put your kids on this school. They will be bullied in kindergarten and come home a different child. Again some great teachers like the music and art teacher and the gym teacher and the kindergarten teachers but not a good school for overall development of your child. Also the school is completely rundown and dirty. I went to a PTA meeting and had to use the restroom and that was the moment that I decided my kids are done at JES. brown toilet sits and just disgusting conditions. School needs a complete overhaul. Start with the principal.

"It has great local restaurants and everyone is very nice. It’s usually relatively quiet, but is still close to Greensboro where there is tons of activities and things to do. My neighborhood, Cedarwood, is great for families and retirees and has a great neighborhood pool."

"Cedarwood is the best neighborhood I've ever lived in. The lots are big and houses aren't too close together, big trees everywhere, neighbors are all welcoming and helpful, very low traffic. Like most areas around here you can't really walk to stores or restaurants, but there are tons of great places within a couple minutes drive."
