3/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageMy son is finishing up his last year next year. I know the school has a bad rap as many Phila public High Schools. I have had no issues, the counselors and support staff have been helpful and caring.I suggest giving it a try before just going by reviews. "The residents are not neighborly . It use to be a really nice place to live but over the last 10 years it has dramatically changed . There are more renters and undesirables that live here . People of Parkwood got scared and moved out and now the homes are owned by people from other states that rent the homes to people who are on state assistance and who do not work! I do not recommend anyone to purchase a home here. "

"Small town feel. Safe to walk around any time of day. Many park/field areas to run and play. Dog friendly neighborhood and mostly friendly people. Wawa, rite aid, and deli right around the corner. Great place to live. "

"I lived in this neighborhood for three years, the people did not welcome minorities, the teenagers hang out on street corners drinking and smoking. I was the worst neighborhood I ever lived in! And I've beeen a resident of Philadelphia for 56 years."

"I have never taken septa in our area. Our son takes it home from school, no problems and fast. Driving in the area is great, you’re about 5 minutes away from many choices of shops and , restaurants and schools. Love it here."

"we see people walking their dogs all the time. most of the time you see them with their doggie bags. there are a lot of bigger dogs in the area though. I have little dog and it can be a little intimidating."
