About this House

This cozy and affordable home has 2 bedrooms and 1 bath, and will be ready for a new renter in late April. It's in the town of Pilot Point, easy walking distance to the famous Square. The train tracks are very close by, to lull you to sleep at night. Monthly rent is $1000, not including utilities (all electric). The refundable security deposit is $1200. There is nominal additional pet rent per month, based on the pet's weight. There is also a refundable pet deposit, also based on the pet's weight. (Sorry, but my insurance company won't allow dogs that are on their list of "hostile breeds," such as Pits and a handful of others.) Built in 1946, the home is about 840SF. The large back yard is completely enclosed with a 6' privacy fence. Central heat and air. Park on driveway (no garage or carport). You can bring your own fridge or you can rent ours for an extra $50/mo. You can also bring your own washer & dryer, or rent ours for an extra $50/mo (for washer & dryer together). To qualify: 1) your verifiable gross household monthly income must be at least 3x rent ($3000/mo), 2) no criminal record or evictions, 3) good rental history, and 4) your credit score should be 600 or higher (although exceptions may be made on a case by case basis). Minimum lease is for 1 year, and long-term renters are welcome. Application fee is $56 per adult. If this sounds like a good fit, please reply with a little about yourself, and I will send you pre-screening questions to get the ball rolling. Application fees only apply if/when you fill out the online application(s), which doesn't happen until after you have checked out the house and decided you want to move forward. I also have a few other houses nearby that are not listed yet, so if this one doesn't work for you, I may have another that's a better fit just let me know what you're looking for. I look forward to hearing from you!

"Lived here for almost 4 years. the neighborhood is snooty. All the kids are spoiled brats. The whole town is full of the most snobby, rude, and entitled people I've ever met."
  • Jessica F.
"I’ve lived here my entire life and it’s just a great town. It’s small so you know everyone but it is growing."
  • Deborah B. G.
"I live in this community and have raised children here. Lots of horses in the area, hunting, fishing."
  • Melissa A. S.
"Pilot Point is a nice quiet town in close proximity to Dallas and Frisco Areas. This home is located on a end street yet just right off of 377 for easy access. "
  • Cecilia G.
"This is a great area in Horse Country, U.S.A. Located only 30 minutes from Frisco, TX and the North Texas Plano and Collin County Corridor, just 60 miles from Dallas. Less than 20 miles away, you will find Denton, TX, the home of Unviersity of North Texas and Texas Womans University. If you want the real Old West, Fort Worth is just an hour away. Oak groves and native grasses have been allowed to remain on the land. The property has road access on three sides. Since it is one of the first homestead properties in the history of Pilot Point, it has a dynamic past, including Bonnie and Clyde. Open land allows the new owner to build and develolp according to his own designs. Horses love this land. A twelve acre hay field is in place to produce good hay for horses and cattle. The site has the potential of being developed with a house on a hill. 100 acres are listed at the present time; however, an additiional 50 acres will soon be available. This is the Land of Gene Autry, only 7 miles from Tioga, TX, the hometown of Gene Autry. Lay Ray Roberts can be seen from certain points on the property. Sunsets are beautiful. It is quiet and no heavy thru traffic since Wilson Road dead ends into Lake Ray Roberts itelf. If you have a dream of designing and building your dream ranch, this is the place."
