5/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageDeane Bozeman is unique in providing pre-k through 12 under one roof. This creates a family- like environment and fosters community connections. Mr. B, the principal is extremely involved, attending almost every student event! I am not sure how he finds time for all of it. Due to everything being on one campus, students are afforded maximum flexibility in their classes. A high flying seventh grader can take a ninth grade math class. A fifth grader, who has taken private lessons, could play in the concert band! The Agricultural program is top notch and they have an award winning FFA team. They also have other outdoor education opportunities. There is a Collegiate School on campus for high schoolers which offers many AP classes and duel enrollment. Mr. P is much loved by The Sound of Roaring Thunder Band. He gives all kids a place to belong and fosters a love of the arts. There is also a Technology club and many other extra-curricular opportunities. For the younger children there are Thanksgiving and Christmas luncheons for families to celebrate together. The high school senior boys dressed up as elves and assisted at the luncheon. It is great to see the whole school pull together for these events and it makes everyone feel like a big family. I don't have any experience with their special education programs. There is some bullying between middle level students- as at any school. When my child was bullied, the school contacted me promptly and the bully received punishment. I felt the administration handled it in an appropriate and timely manner.Your children have an opportunity to receive a great education at this school. The smaller environment means your child will have lots of personal interaction with a staff that cares about them as an individual and their about their education.
