"Helena, AL has been selected again this year as one of the Top Ten Safest Cities in the State of Alabama. It's a wonderful area. with beautiful parks, very friendly people., great school system & wonderful access to stores, medical clinics & close access to highways, etc. "
  • Jaspar.johnson25
"Great place for dog owners! There’s an awesome groomer on Main Street, Buck Creek to run around at, and well maintained sidewalks for casual strolls. Do be aware of fenced dogs, most of the time they’re well behaved but can provoke. Some dog owners do walk without leashes, which can cause issues but most people are super nice about it and immediately leash if need be. "
  • Bamabelle365
"It’s a decent place to live. It’s quiet and people are friendly. There are some fun things to do throughout the year. "

"Old Cahaba is a horrible neighborhood the neighbors fuss about everything you do even call the cops when shooting small fireworks. Call the cops when your dog is barking outside. I hate it here but Helena is nice just don’t move to the old Cahaba. "
