5/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageBeing a military family, we have been to several schools, including Mascoutah, 5 miles away. When we came back to this area, we specifically chose Wesclin due to its smaller size (approx 100 students per class). Too much drama in bigger schools! The academics here have prepared my kids for college, and the staff and students were very welcoming. These are small towns with many families in farming, and the community is great. The new school is awesome. All the teachers have taken an interest in my kids succeeding and have shown flexibility when needed. I personally like that there are no AP classes here, they are overrated. Instead they have several dual credit classes that actually transferred 100% to my daughter's college. I highly recommend this high school.Parent Review8y ago - New Baden Elementary School

6/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI feel that this school has made alot of improvements in the past 3 years in the best interest of the children. A new security system has been installed, new books purchased, and smaller class sizes are making a big difference. Unfortunately this elemantary school still lacks a suitable playground, which is somewhat tragic for these young students who would really enjoy recess more if the equipment were available. I know the PTO has been fundraising for years to eventually purchase new playground equipment, but it looks like my 3rd grader will end up moving on without ever getting the chance to benefit from the new playground.Parent Review10y ago - Wesclin Middle School

6/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI beg you to google Wesclin before putting your children through the experience my children have had. The kids and parents of the town tend to be cruel and unwelcoming. The bullying and cliques are not only ignored but often reinforced by some staff members. Sports teams and other awards are based purely on small town politics. It is truly the classic small town cliché. It's been a saddening and wholly disappointing experience that I wouldn't wish on any other children or parents. Many of my child's classmates have been pulled out to homeschool or private academies because it is really and truly that bad. Please, for children's sake, don't move to this district, I promise you will regret it.Parent Review3mo ago - Check out schools near 300 W Ash St.
