The school is not diverse at all. When my child was in K1 another student made a remark about the color of her skin. Another incident occurred in 3rd and 4th grade. The teaching of the 7 habits is a good tool but it was not always effective. Representation matters !!!! If you are teaching the youth about showing compassion toward people of all races then they should be able to see that in school. Not just as peers but also as teacher and as a administrator.

Good principals are hard to find... The Horace Mann Community "lucked out" with Dr.Cobbs. She sets the tone and character of the school with her personality: warm, loving and involved in her students' efforts to negotiate every day life. Attitude means everything to students and her's is the best. Melrose, don't lose this one.Grandpa.

I LOVED that my kid got to Go to Lincoln School for Kindergarten - I feel that we Could NOT have asked for a better experience than this School! Wish we could take the School with us when we move away. D=

This school advertises great opportunities, like cultural exchange programs and service trips, but my experience as a minority student showed a very different reality. In my time there, it often felt like the school valued the appearance of diversity more than practicing true inclusion. Many important resources and opportunities felt inaccessible, and guidance toward advanced courses like AP and honors was not offered equally. In my case, I was rarely encouraged academically, while many of my peers were pushed and supported in ways I was not.I struggled to “make it through” high school, not because I lacked ability, but because the environment did not provide the same level of encouragement or academic confidence that other students received. I am now in college thriving with a 4.0 GPA, which has made it clear to me that the issue was not the student, it was the environment. I am living proof of what could have been possible with more support, belief, and equitable guidance.I also experienced situations where concerns about discrimination or bias were not addressed in meaningful ways. From my perspective, the school often prioritized maintaining its public image over creating a safe and supportive environment for all students. Accountability for harmful behavior felt inconsistent, and this created an atmosphere that could be discouraging and isolating for minority students.This review reflects my personal experience, and I hope it is helpful for families seeking a school environment where all students are equally supported and encouraged to reach their full potential.

Remedial curriculum. My nieces in Winchester and Reading public schools are covering far more advanced materials in the same grade.

My two boys attend this school and I can't be happier! The teachers, principal and staff are incredible and supportive. Dr. Tracy is an awesome principal who cares for every single student ! So far my kids had great teachers! Mrs. Ogiba it is out of this world!!!

I have heard nothing but positive things regarding the ECC, and my experience there has been excellent. The teachers are professional yet nurturing, they communicate with parents daily by email, and children leaving this school to go to kindergarten are incredibly well-prepared. There are many options of days and times to chose from, as well as early drop-offs and extended days. This does not have a "nursery school" feel as it is many classrooms in a two-story building, so if a child has never had any daycare or out-of-the-home experience, it could be overwhelming, depending on the child. As far as curriculum, it can't be beat. My son adored his preK teacher so much that he insisted that we name our new cat after her. We did. :)

I hate going here, there are so many budget cuts because the schools are in debt. School lunch is terrible, kids are so disrespectful and they get away with everything and don't know how to act, if these kids went to any other school half of them would have already been suspended, school is super unorganized, there is always at least one piece of incorrect information in Aspen, school nurse completely pushes away problems, when I had pneumonia she told me i was fine when I could barely talk from how sick I was, the school is always dirty because there is a small janitorial staff just if you want a school that actually has money and doesn't just look like it don't waste your time here
