7/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageAfter graduating from West Allegheny I can confidently say that this was an extremely mediocre High School experience. There are some brilliant teachers that are overqualified for their work. The amount of braindead, useless, mind-numbing work that I was given at this school was insane. After looking back, I can not tell you one thing that would really help me for my future. AP teachers here, for the most part, were a joke. My 8th grade English teacher and 12th grade English teacher went above and beyond. I didn't study or do homework at ALL outside of school and cruised through despite receiving a 4.3 weighted GPA. If you want your children to develop mediocre studying skills and experience subpar teaching send them here.Other Review1y ago7 Reviews - Wilson El School

7/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageGood luck if you have a kid on an IEP or 504 plan. The teachers won’t follow even the most simple accommodations like sitting in the front of class and having a separate room to take tests. You push them to do better and the teachers complain about their class sizes and the guidance counselor gives you a list to do at home to compensate for the fact that they will do nothing.Bullying is rampant, and there’s a history of punishing the victim. The kids have no lockers although they are sitting there ready to use because “we will have to teach all 800 students (instead of just the incoming 6th graders) how to use a combination lock.” The strong recommendation is that kids not wear coats as they’d have to carry them all day—even when it was so cold the bus doors froze shut.Parent Review1y ago3 Reviews - Check out schools near 3 Spring Run Rd.

"There are fence ordinances in place that prevent people from putting fences in their front yard, so most folks have invisible fences, which can be startling and alarming at first while walking your dog through the neighborhood"

"This is a beautiful quiet and peaceful neighborhood with sidewalks and walking trails. A private trail will take you directly to the Montour Trail. Houses are nicely kept up and neighbors are friendly. You are only a 5 to 10 minute drive from Costco, Ikea, Mall at Robinson and all the shopping and dining at Settler's Ridge. The best of both worlds."
