Everyone there wants you to succeed and will go well out of their way to make sure you get the help you need. I loved the closer community offered by a smaller school. Most bad reviews here are from students who never really tried much and never reached out for assistance.

I am absolutely disgusted by Dayton intermediate school and Dayton elementary school. Our children are cattle to be moved along, if they're struggling or having problems then they are bad children not children who are struggling. They do not deal with bullying they buddy up . If you can, please listen, put your children somewhere better. Dayton is absolutely awful.

The teachers there are excellent but the surveillance state is out of control. There are so many cameras in the hallways, classrooms and outside that there is a constant feeling of 'big brother' watching. The teachers are also not supported regarding classroom materials and are expected to purchase their own pencils, crayons, paper and even shelves with their own money. Now, teachers are being told that more cameras are being installed. There is a campus officer who acts like a wannabe ICE agent and gives the impression that is hoping for a school shooting so he can justify his overzealous position. Despite all this security, any adult can just walk in with the kids in the morning as it is just a free for all. So, the expensive security system is actually more of a facade. You can do better, Sutro Elementary.
