7/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThis school has repeatedly left gates open with no adult staff around leaving the possibility for children to wander off or strangers to wander in. Teachers say bad words to the kids. The front desk is terrible at answering the phone and calling back when you leave a message. There is constant fights that the staff don't stop. There are kids constantly hitting other kids and they are allowed to stay in class. I would not go here if the district actually gave a choice. It's a terrible school with terrible staff. 7/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThis school is NOT safe for your children. I had to pull my son out of this school due to the SA and bullying he went through here. None of the staff including the principal believed him and even sided with the parents. They refused to change his class and he had to remain in the same class while being questioned without a parent being present with him. I blame myself as I have heard this school had a reputation with nothing being done towards bullying but I tried to be unbiased and I now deeply regret it. Its not just the bullying and SA either, his teacher was not adequately active in the students curriculum and it left my son behind in school along with trauma.Parent Review4mo ago - Wilson High School

6/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageTaught here for a number of years. Moved my own kids to Orange County because I didn't want them attending here. The administration was just horrible. The whole district is more worried about their reputation, looking good and garnering awards from no name organizations. The administration will post rules and policies but are no where to be found enforcing them. Long Beach does not seem to get rid of bad principals either. Instead they just shuffle them around to other sites. A colleague of mine called this the "dance of the lemons."Teacher Review1y ago
