This is our first year and my child is in kindergarten. We moved from a State where the only option was private school and they expected perfection from babies. That being said my child has excelled here. She is academically doing well and has finally found her place. For my child the environment and rewards system they use for behavior has been wonderful. They also seem to understand that kids will be kids but take the right things seriously. Everyone on staff I have encountered has been very pleasant and seem to really like being there. PTA also seems very involved and I would almost equate them to what I have seen in private settings which says something. We have many years to go but hopefully my child will continue to grow at this school.

as a student here the administration does not care about you unless you are on suicide watch or on the football team. the admin are rude and inconsiderate of the students. the new principal has removed the rule that allowed you to get to class early. you only have 5 minutes to cross the campus and get to class on time. the building doors being locked after the bell does not help with this either. the students are too cliquey, which discourages from joining clubs or activities. please consider a different school

I am the mother of a student who, unfortunately, has suffered from bullying at school — as have many others. I see that most teachers do not get involved enough to teach students about respect and empathy.My son has ADHD, with a medical report and medication, but few people understand him or know how to support him. It took him a whole year to adjust, and now he has new teachers and classmates. He tries to stay away from trouble, but other students sometimes provoke him, and teachers often don’t notice what really happens. As a result, he ends up being punished for things that are not his fault.I believe the school must take more responsibility. Too often, they act as if these problems don’t exist and only step in when situations become serious. Bullying should be addressed early, and teachers need better training to support children with learning and behavioral challenges.Even with these issues, I still recommend the school, because compared to others with lower ratings, it is one of the better options. However, these problems — even if caused by a small group — should not be ignored. The actions and attitudes of teachers and staff today will have a lasting impact on the students’ future.
