Having my own children at San Pasqual Union School, along with my nephews and extended family members attending as well, I can sincerely say this school has been an amazing place for our kids. We were not original families here. We came as transfers, and from the very beginning we felt genuinely welcomed.What truly makes SPU special is the community within the school itself. It really does feel like “The Little School in the Valley.” Families from many different walks of life come together here, including military families, first responders, multilingual families, longtime locals, and newer residents. The teachers truly know their students. The leadership is present and engaged. There is a shared spirit of collaboration and a clear commitment to helping children grow and succeed.I also really appreciate how inclusive the school is toward parents. There are many ways to be involved, and families are encouraged to participate in strengthening the school. Whether you volunteer regularly or show up when you can, you are welcomed.We have seen meaningful academic growth. The improvements in reading and math shared at board meetings through the iReady program mirror what we see at home. Our children are reading more confidently and are more enthusiastic about learning. Implementing a new curriculum is not easy, but the teachers have embraced the challenge and the progress is evident.Safety and student well being are clearly priorities. The work put into strengthening the District Comprehensive School Safety Plan, along with adjustments made to better support English learners, reflects thoughtful leadership. Every family deserves to feel that their children are safe and valued.Most importantly, our children are encouraged and supported every day. Their growth, both socially and academically, has been impressive. This is what a calm, student centered environment should feel like.We are grateful to be part of this school community and highly recommend San Pasqual Union to families looking for a strong, safe, and caring public school.

This school is Lazy, staff are lazy, I've Had a kid that went here and they was going to bathroom when they get targeted for suspiocus activity for just peeing, they treat everyone like criminals here. 100% would not recommend.
