About this House

Hello! I am subletting my beloved apartment from ~May 24 - Sept 7 (june 1 start okay, and could extend beyond sept 7).

I'm looking for a single occupant (strong preference for female) who is clean, removes shoes in the house, and is respectful of the furniture/my belongings and my neighbors.

This unit is part of triplex, which is one building within a three building "compound." The landlord lives in one of the other buildings. There are around 10 of us in total; we are all cordial and share the backyard. It's a great place to live -- quiet and a 5 minute walk from Berkeley Bowl. Most of us have lived here for a long time.

Laundry is in the backyard, and usually available. It's coin wash for the washer, dryer is free.

Fridge, stove, and microwave are new, the desk is a standing desk.

Street parking is generally available and requires a permit (annual permit fee is $66, I believe).

On top of rent, internet costs about $75/month; gas + electric will probably be around $50-75/month.

    "I lived in this neighborhood for 3 years. Since it's just south of the UC Berkeley campus, there is a lot of foot traffic and noise when school is in session. Mostly students live in this neighborhood but there are a ton of homeless people lying on the sidewalks and they can get pretty aggressive. Plenty of cheap restaurants catering to students as well."

This part of south Berkeley is bicycle friendly with great grocery stores (perhaps the best options in the State!) plus neighbors who walk and know each other. A very enjoyable & diverse neighborhood."
