What Locals Say about North Adams

  • Donna M.
"There has been an increase in dog owners in North Adams over the more recent years. It is nice to have a dog park locally situated. However, it most definitely is too small for the sizes of dogs that may be there. I've been to a few in the South that have entrances to separate the sizes for safety measures. Two areas separated only by the same fencing but allowing safer pleasant excercise and socialization of both pets and pet owners. I have heard many are interested in the River St dog park. I suggest an enlargement if possible. I would also like for proper dog waste bags receptacles be placed randomly through town to increase the cleanliness of this town increasing the results of loving our pets and our Home Town ."

"We need more clean dog parks and doggy day car facilities. The town is very friendly to dog owners however. "

"Mass MOCA is right down the street. concerts galore. Show cars, farmers market, and beach on the street (for kids) to low crime makes it special."

"My commute is a 20 minute drive along a main two-lane road. There are four traffic lights, and those can take a while if you get to them at the wrong moment, but for the most part it’s a beautiful road. You can see the mountains on either side of the valley, and the local NPR station comes in well, so the drive is a pleasant transition between work and home."
