"Tons of schools in walking range. Seems family friendly. During the day there aren’t many unhoused people but at night there are some people who seem unwell who surface. "

    • Eklauer
"Close to downtown. Close to South Park. Close to all San Diego freeways. Beautiful architecture. Great coffee shops."
    • Lorachaliw
"It’s growing at an alarming rate! There are condos replacing houses on every available space. Parking is a nightmare, and people who have lived here for years are heading out!"
    • Brianna L.
"The community is easy to access from the freeway as well as being able to get to the neighborhood from other close by neighborhoods. "
    • Brittany T.
"I really love the area. Close enough to everywhere you need to get but far enough away that it's not super crowded like east village."
    • Sati M
"This neighborhood has changed a great deal in the last 10 years. Golden Hill is a cute little community. Parking can be a hassle and there is a noticeable increase in the homeless population...but this is not uncommon in most major cities. We have easy access the best of the city’s entertainment, Balboa Park, awesome food venues and freeways. "
    • Fernando V. .
"It’s a alright neighborhood but a lot of homeless and the parking is fine but there has been many construction that has made it very tedious."
    • Chawn
"Great area for young adults with plenty of restraints in walking distance. Roads are horrendous right now due to all the gas line work in the area. Which also affects parking for now. "
    • Iwanttobeatacocat
"Hipsters. Yuppies. Bums. Lots and lots of homeless. Don’t bother moving here. I have homeless people sleep on the porch of my house and then try to assault me when I tell them to leave. "
    • Iwanttobeatacocat
"Not many kids. Sherman academy is a horrible school. Have to be rich to live here and have kids. Don’t bother unless you’re young and single. "
    • Jen G.
"It’s a Great up and coming neighborhood but very old and lots of homeless. I love the restaurants and family owned places around here too. "
    • Lewklein1
"My home is unique People from Del Mar RSF and La Jolla enjoy coming here Although this a young hood (I’m 70] It welcomes all ages backgrounds. When we are forced to move someday we will miss Golden Hills after 20 of being here"
    • Jkrabbers
"Charming neighborhood. I lived here for four years and loved it. Walked to local eateries and stores. Ran the trails at Balboa. Easy access to everywhere you want to go."
    • Suzettels s.
"there's a lot less foot traffic kind of lived here for years so it's sticking with me. it's a good central location"
