2/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThe teachers are amazing at least the ones I have had. My problem is each year they have to replace the special needs teacher and they are terrible with communication with the parents. My son has been at this school for three years and this is the first year his class has been given the chance to eat in the cafeteria because his teacher fought to give them a chance. I don’t think the kids have ever been to the library. The entire office staff and most other teachers want the class to stay all day in their confined class and act like they don’t exist. I’ve spoke to the principal once and when I said my son was is special needs she literally waved her had in the direction of the class and didn’t bother looking at me. The special needs team and the school nurse are amazing though!Parent Review1y ago - College Park Middle School

2/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI just came here for my eigth grade year, behavior is insane. The school lacks a lot. There isn't enough punishment going on, there are fights, there is bullying, not really any information gets sent to parents. Situations on the bus don't really seem to get handled depending on who your bus driver is. Lots of racism. In the halls people will be saying slurs and cussing. (It becomes a normal occurrence at that point) Music/band teacher grades a certian way making it difficult to get a somewhat decent grade. If you are playing good while others aren't the class as a whole will bring you down, making it hard to bring it up anyway, grading playing tests are weird too, people swap out to do grades and sometimes get stuck with the grade and in the class. Time for the good things! Great 8th grade math teachers. They actually stand up and teach rather than making us do a bunch of work by ourselves online. Work is on paper for the most part! They are always open to questions and help when you need it. Thats it, thank you for reading and good luck if you go to this school! (I wouldn't recommend.)Student Review1mo ago - Stratford High School

5/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageWe moved from out of state and my ninth grade daughter was doing well especially during the pandemic and online learning. Within two months of online learning, she was called a racial slur. I immediately contacted the chain of command via email and then called and talked w/one of the asst principles for her grade. I was assured that this type of behavior was not tolerated. Needless to say, the situation was immediately addressed as the student was not online in class for several days. I was glad that a situation like this was not taken lightly and after overcoming this hurdle, my daughter has continued to excel in all classes. During the pandemic, homework is rarely given and in some classes, watching videos has become mundane. The teachers are pretty responsive considering the circumstances of teaching to online and traditional students at the same time. If we stay in this school district, we shall see how tenth grade goes.Parent Review3y ago - Check out schools near 284 Village Stone Cir.
