Hello, I’m a current student. I like this school. My favorite teacher that I have right now is Ms. Newbill. She’s really nice, cares about us getting good grades, and wants to help us be the best we can. Even if you treat her badly, she won’t treat you the same way.I also want to give a shout-out to Mr. Adams, my old choir teacher we could use electronics in class, which was fun. Mrs. Flaming is the absolute best; she’s so patient and there are so many good things I can say about her. Mrs. Dyk and Mrs. Fox are also really patient with me, which I appreciate a lot.That said, I think the school has a lot of racism. I get called the N-word and people make racist jokes, but honestly, I don’t care. You kind of get used to it like I have and stop caring.Some other things I don’t like PE can be dumb it should be fun with fitness and games, not running miles and cross-country every week. The phone policy is also frustrating; I think we should be allowed to use phones during lunch, nutrition break, and passing periods like I already do.

This is a great school, 20/20, everything here is good except for choices on the lunch menu are a bit slim.

Van Allen is a wonderful elementary school! My child has thrived there. The school staff and teachers are welcoming, dedicated, and highly qualified. They build strong relationships with students, manage classrooms effectively, and adapt to diverse learning needs while holding high expectations for all. The principal is highly visible, engaged, and involved with students and their families. The school has a positive community type of feeling, is clean and safe, and has a very active and supportive Parent Teacher Club.
