About this House

Please read all information. Note: no more than two adults. We are renting out our newly built (fall of 2022) 2 bed/1 bath apartment. It is a bright and welcoming space, clean and thoughtfully designed. Washer/Dryer/Dishwasher in the unit. It is located on the second story above our shop. Mostly electric, except hot water is propane. A/C in unit. We live mid-county off Smith/Sand Rd area, approximately 20 minutes from downtown Bham or Lynden, 15 min from North Bham or Barkley area. If you are looking for peace and quiet, this is a great place for you. We live on a small, dead-end private road which is not county maintained in the winter. You will need an AWD or 4WD vehicle if it snows and sticks around. There is no mailbox for the apartment, you will need a PO Box. Package deliveries are welcome, of course. The shop is detached from our home, with a private entrance/parking. It's a very peaceful, quiet area. There is a small dedicated front yard for tenant, but there's plenty of room around us to walk and roam. There is also a small deck. This is our private acreage where we raise our family, you will hear kids playing at times and general "life" activity. There's chickens/garden not far from the shop. Absolutely NO smoking/parties/loud activity. We have a storage area we occasionally need to access through one of the bedrooms, which we will give plenty of heads up to let you know (seasonal decorations, etc). This is great fit for people who want to be just outside of town, in a very quiet, slightly secluded environment. A detached recently built 8x10 shed is for your personal use.

  • 8rg55bs6bk
"We love this neighborhood. Very quiet and private. But neighbors are fantastic! We are so happy our kids got to grow up here"

"This is an absolutely beautiful place to live if you love the outdoors. You can go snowboarding at Mt. Baker (weather permitted) to sailing on Bellingham Bay all in one day. If you love to experience the beauty of all four seasons, and not deal with extreme heat or cold, this is the place to live. Just make sure you have a lot of money otherwise you won’t live comfortably. "
  • Trulia User
"Holidays have events and social gatherings. Its very homey and others from different neighborhoods come for the events. I enjoy the neighbors and the feeling of safety. Its also a good place to be outside and get fresh air. "

  • Trulia User
"I commute 20 miles. straight down a two lane highway that maxes out at 50 mph. sometimes it sucks to get behind a slow person. "
  • Trulia User
"We have ladies luncheons, an annual potluck, neighborhood meetings, special work teams, codes that keep it beautiful, etc... I love bumping into my always friendly neighbors out walking on the road."
