I would NEVER recommend this school to ANYBODY let alone a child with ADHD, ADD, etc. the teachers have ZERO patience and are too busy serving out punishments and calling to complain about your kid rather than working with your child and recognizing when they need the extra help. Not to mentions they LOVE to give attitude to the parents as well. They will easily brush off concerns of bullying if the child can’t write their own statement instead of helping the child write it down, or investigating further even if the parent requests it. However they will go the extra MILE to investigate if your child even steps out of line for a second. I switch my child to another school and the way they treat my child there in comparison is night and day. Her grades are up, she shows an interest in learning now, and all I ever get is messages from her new teachers about how great she is and how much they love to have her in class. At Westpointe they would call about my 2-3 grader to nonstop to complain because she would get distracted or didn’t understand the class work. One teacher even told my child she needed to ask her classmates for help on class work before she could ask teacher for help. Last I checked the adult is who is getting paid for teach, not the classmates. If teacher can’t have patience and care for the students then they need new jobs. Both the teachers and administrators at Westpointe should seriously reevaluate their career choices. DO NOT PUT YOU CHILD IN WESTPOINTE! IF YOUR CHILD NEEDS EXTRA HELP OR ATTENTION, THEY WILL MAKE YOUR CHIKD OUT TO BE A “BAD KID”
