"This neighborhood is safe, love the people, there are always neighbors greeting you or stopping to talk. Its so convenient and quiet. its your quaint home just outside of the district. Easy access to either 95 or 395. pretty close to everything, but enough to be outside for a relaxing home to come to. If I wasn't offered once in a lifetime job, id retire here."
  • Trulia User

  • Rtfact
"The traffic in Alexandria is out of control. Watch your kids when theyโ€™re out playing or riding their bikes. Motorist donโ€™t always look out for the kiddos. Thankfully, there are more speed zones and speed bumps."
  • Trulia User
"Itโ€™s a great neighborhood for dogs since many dog owners in the area. In my immediate neighborhood, there are not enough sidewalks but the streets are quiet and safe to walk on with minimal car traffic. "
  • Jenniffersutton
"Great neighborhood, very quiet and friendly but conveniently close to many shops and restaurants and the Metro."
  • Dukeelliott7

  • Joseph Kenneth Blake
"There are quite a few dog owners in the neighborhood. There is constant dog walking throughout the day."

  • Qcf9h7kbgg
"I drive and itโ€™s perfect I love how close everything is. Good commute and community as well. Walking distancia to stores and trails "
  • Trulia User
"Lots of young kids, but fewer school age kids-presumably because many people with bigger kids want more space. "
  • Kumeit L Salman
"Access to transportations. Safe place Diverse Clean Walking distance to shops and parks Helpful neighbors "
  • Millerc1931
"Safe, nice well lit area. Neighbors know each other and look out for each other. Walking distance to some shops but definitely need a car. "
  • Grace Pluta
"I have lived here for two years and love how close it is multiple shopping centers and the highway. "
  • Brandi.bottalico
"Short because weโ€™re right near the beltway. Iโ€™m able to hop right on and get to work in 30 minutes. "
  • Vhawarden
"Itโ€™s a tight knit neighborhood with many children. And very little traffic or noise. We love this area!"
  • M9ypk8sjdn
"None that I know off. You have to go to Old Town which is 1-1/2 to 2 miles away for community events (and for a weekly Saturday Farmerโ€™s Market asked about in earlier question)."
  • Trulia User
"Although there are nice parks where I live, most of the family friendly neighborhoods reside in an enclosed neighborhood called Cameron Station. There is a beautiful library and it's close to Van Dorn Metro. There is a lot of traffic and some have pockets that are unsafe. The area is not pedestrian friendly. Lots of dog parks. Not stroller friendly. Eisenhower seems to have the least amount of crime but it is a busy street during the day. LA Mart is a great source for Asian groceries. The area has almost everything you need in a short distance. Schools aren't rated the best."
  • Trulia User
"Itโ€™s historic and beautiful! Iโ€™ve lived here for three years and I donโ€™t want to move anywhere else. "
  • Trulia User
"Itโ€™s a family friendly neighborhood. I barely see my neighbors. Thereโ€™s shops and restaurants nearby. Good location for commuters because itโ€™s close to DC and on the borderline of Arlington. "
  • Trulia User
"Fantastic park space and bike path walk to everything and don't even need a car so Brandon can't control you...yay"
