My 2 oldest kids went to school here. This school scores wonky on scales like this because it's only PK, K and 1st grade in this building before they go over to RHES for 2nd and 3rd grade, and finally 4th and 5th at Carver. These schools are part of the tri-schools here in Richmond Hill. This was a big change for me as a parent however, we've grown to like the benefits of having these age groups together in one building vs PK-5th all together. Our experience here is exceptional. We were blessed with wonderful and caring teachers. I appreciate that the school tends to lean heavy on creativity vs standardized methods of learning and teaching. We didn't receive homework outside of a couple of cute little projects like disguise your turkey and there were a multiple times through the year I was able to volunteer or join my children during a celebration or party. We are excited for our youngest to have his turn in a couple of years.

This school has been nothing but trouble since day 1. They dont have enough food to feed the kids that go there. Kids have 4 mins to eat lunch because of the bad design an time management throughout the day. If you have a problem they will ignore you an not do anything. They lie, but they make sure athletes are taken care of. Construction worker hanging outside girls locker room while they change clothes. Just dont put your kid in this school unless you want to hear everyday of some other issue they wont fix an then send emails mocking those who stand up for their kids

This is a comment on RH athletics. Richmond Hill did itslef a disservice in only building one middle school. The middle school student body is the largest - by far - south of Atlanta. The student is around 2,500. The other middle schools in the area average around 800 students. Because of this, RHMS dominates every middle school in all sports. This is a bad thing, however, as it leads to lazy coaching and what I call "golden boy" syndrome, where the kids think they are special because the middle school teams are so dominant. They are only dominant, though, becuase they are three times the size of every school they play. This manifests itself in a couple of ways at the HS level - 1. When our athletes get to HS, they are underdeveloped, but think they are great (again, lazy MS coaching and golden boy syndrome) and 2. Many of our best athletes go to the private schools in Savannah in search of better coaching. RHHS sports are awful. We are good at cheerleading, lacrosse and cross country - sports no one really cares about. We are terrible at baseball, basketball, and football, and our wrestling program is mediocre, at best. RH needs two middle schools. We will develop our athletes much better that way, and maybe hang on to more of them.

This is our 2nd year here and so far, we have had a good experience. My son has had great teachers that truly care about the students and what they're learning.

I am writing this as a 5-star review for Richmond Hill Elementary School. This is truly one of the best schools, with excellent management, professional teachers, and dedicated staff who treat all students like their own children. They work hard to help each child grow and develop by using a variety of effective teaching methods.My child is a Pre-K student in Ms. Netzky’s class, and we consider her a superhero teacher. She is highly skilled, caring, and professional. Initially, my child was not willing to go to school, but thanks to Ms. Netzky’s patience, guidance, and support, everything has changed. Now my child is excited about school, and we have seen a huge improvement in her learning and development.We sincerely thank Ms. Netzky and the entire school management for their unforgettable efforts and dedication to our children.
