"Good areas to walk around with your dog, barely owners pick up after their dog and plus got to be careful due to needles being left On the ground "
  • Trulia User
"I drive my own car i have noticed there are too many stop lights and there straight lanes turn into turn only way too often without notice"

  • Weeks684463
" There is a dog park and lots of trails! multiple pet supply stores. Dog friendly parks. Most homes have 1 acre lots, so big back yards! "
  • Weeks684463
"its friendly, beautiful and a great place to raise a family. Its close to shopping and has great city parks and hiking trails. "
  • Hanna H.
"I drive my car. Everything I need is within 10 minutes from my house. Traffic is only bad around downtown, and on broadway to get to the highway in the mornings."
  • Amanda C.
"I live close to the interstate and it is a quick 15-20 minute commute to work at the University of Maine. "
  • Jcraig898
"Friendly, kid and animal friendly. Schools are excellent. Downtown is generally well maintained. New businesses appearing all the time. Close to waterfront concerts and events. Relatively safe and low crime "
  • Christian B.
"There are a few parks and public pools throughout the area, walking trails are relatively clean and safe. I'd still suggest to take precautions for your safety like anyone should anywhere. "
  • Danielle P.
"Roads are kept clear but there is a lot of bad potholes, the worst ones do usually get filled in and traffic is medium to heavy if there are events.. daily commute is fair early in the morning"
  • Stacy.dimou
"It is a safe area, schools are good, Quiet, no fear here. Sports are as good as you make them. Music and theater need help "
  • Amanda C.
"We all look out for each other and our families. It is a wonderful community to raise a family in. We hope to be in this same neighborhood until our son graduates high school. "
  • Garder
"Family friendly neighborhood and even the streets can be used as playgrounds. Especially Glencove has a geometry that keeps all cars below the 25 mph speed limit and since the street goes nowhere, just loops back to Saratoga, low volume of traffic. "
  • Sarah C.
"Public transport is okay but lengthy on the bus, great travel or commute options in personal vehicles. "
  • Tanmmorey
"I love being with my family during our annual Health fair, gathering for our cultural harvest to give thanks, nature walks through family vacations where we go canoeing, swimming, sharing music, song, and stories, and building community gardens."
  • Alysa S.
"They have dog bags and trash cans at all the grass areas,so the ground is pretty clean. Also the pet owners are all really kind and friendly."
  • AllenMom
"This is a wonderful neighborhood to raise a family and has a great school system and beautiful parks/playgrounds. "
  • Benjamin S.
"Lots of kids near where I live, but it’s not exactly the best place to live as far as apartments go. Thin walls, no privacy or fences your neighbors are always no less then 20 to 30 feet away."
  • Erica Strickland
"I have lived in the Bangor area for 8 months now and everyone around me is very nice and always say "hi". I like the convenience of the stores being close by."
  • Rebecka
"Good trails to walk dogs, however, Not enough trash cans to throw poop bags away. Finishing rentals that accept dogs is also difficult. "
  • Rebecka
"We celebrated Harry Potter’s 20th anniversary and they decorate the town for Christmas. There are many local shops"
  • Rebecka
"My neighborhood has public transportation but it could be greatly improved. If I were to take it, I wouldn’t know how to start. This is coming from someone who could only get around with public transit back in the day. But then I lived in Europe. I drive my own car now. "
  • Tom323ci
"There are a lot of dogs in the neighborhood. The only worry I would have if I owned a dog is a random dog off of a lease attacking my dog. "
  • Mfmr2004
