Description

Welcome to our beloved home here at 28 Red Oak Drive in Coventry. We are confident the next owners will enjoy their ownership, though we will leave with a bit of heavy heart. We have spent many hours especially enjoying the huge back deck, which has a great deal of privacy on three sides and sits well up above the ground to give you a sense of being one with the surrounding trees.

Most of the information you will find at Zillow is accurate. Since our ownership in Feb of 2015 we have updated most of the windows (except 4), replaced the hot water heater in 2016 and replaced the downstairs carpeting.
Additionally we painted 3 sides of the house this year (rear not done), removed the woodstove not long ago and removed the hot tub from the deck as it was no longer functional nor worth repairing.

The back yard is completely fenced with rock fire pit, an over-sized shed in the rear of the property along with a smaller shed along side the dwelling at the back of the driveway. The home is equipped with Central Air. The roofing shingles were replaced by a prior owner approximately 8 years ago.

The neighborhood has the complete range to age of children from grade school - to college kids, to homes with no kids and retirees.

*** To be clear...I have entered the home as a 3 bed as we use the downstairs as a master bedroom. As for the town of Coventry, it is a 2 bedroom and 1.5 bathroom home ***

We have listed only exterior pictures for now to keep some sense of privacy. Older pics available online reveal a good sense of the floor plan. We keep it clean inside, we do not smoke nor allow smoking inside and only have one 9lb dog which is only allowed to be upstairs. She is a Princess, so she is clean and well cared for.

The home is bright, open, warm and inviting...at least to us ;-) The kitchen possesses quartz counter tops, a sky light and is completely open to the living room area. Refrigerator, dishwasher, gas stove and microwave will remain with the home. We just finished up leaf removal and are now searching for it's next owner. Please reach out to us via phone or email. This listing is also up on CL. Of course we will be setting up an open house soon. I will update the listings as soon as we determine that time and date. Drive-bys are welcomed of course but please honor our request to contact us via email/phone and await a call-back or open-house time(s)

*** To the Realtor Community...for the time being we aren't using a Realtor to list and when/if we do, we have contacts in place already to assist us.
To the Buyer's Agent we will compensate $3000 upon a successful closing.

  • Lorileemacd
"I think this neighborhood has declined since the closing of the local oak haven elementary school. People walk away from their homes lots of foreclosures in this neighborhood bringing down property values yet taxes still increase"
  • Mark J.
"homely place with a little bit of everything slowly being overpopulated though. quite place over all"
  • Dond406
"The school system is amazing, as long as the citizens continue to support them when the town threatens cuts. Sometimes spending is frivolous (ie: replacing curb stones and sidewalks when unnecessary)"
  • Linda M
"Nearly harassed me because when I first moved here my cat wasn’t fixed. Noisy people Hit and runs Parking infront of my house from neighbors, cutting down MY trees by neighbors when I’m not home.. moving."
  • Smjen
"I lived in the area for 20 years, moved to Chicago and I'm returning now after 22 years. Love the area."
  • Michael N.
"I guess the fire department brings santa around a few days before Christmas. We don't do anything in my neighborhood."
  • wchitt4099
"Coventry has great rated schools. I feel safe in this area compared to the city of Providence. Come check out Coventry. "
  • Weigkatric
"It’s the largest town in the smallest state! We are a suburban community and have lots of lakes and forests to hike and do outside activities. "
  • Timekeeper70
"It’s easy and safe to walk dogs in my neighborhood. Some areas of Coventry are rural so I imagine it would be harder to do so in those areas."
  • Rj c.
"People are friendly and respectful...dogs are always on their leash and are picked up after...I live on a dead end so very little traffic "
  • Buslady2528
"Wonderful area with shops within walking distance. A slice of the country life with urban conveniences close at hand. "
  • Amadrain
"Coventry has a small town friendly feel, good people, and beautiful scenery, yet it’s close enough to everything you need. I love pond life. "
  • Benpeterson90
"3 year resident. Relatively safe area, easy access to highway. Freshly paved roads. However, relatively high taxes."
  • Rhamltn671
"The roads are in bad condition full of pot holes and frost heaves...its lovely. I also love old abandoned mills. Vinyl siding is one of the best inventions ever."
