5/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageOur entire family went through this school. We had many instances of bullying and even broken bones that were not addressed. The principal denied it even though the evidence of the attack was still there to be seen. Another parent had to sue them to get their child's injuries paid for. Some of the teachers were not up to par even announcing on parent night that we should not try to contact her outside of school hours as she is working on her Master's Degree and will not respond. She also did not respond when we contacted her during school hours. I ended up sending our last child to Prairie Crossing in Middle School and am so glad we did. She was an Illinois State Scholar and light years ahead of her old classmates at Woodland. Woodland has lower level teachers over all although there are a few bright spots. The principals have been very bad at the elementary level but the middle school level they are more within the norm. I am writing this as a teacher in another district and parent. "We raised our children here - 19 years. Great community with a growing number of restaurants and services. But our favorite amenity is the bike trail system — with the tunnels under Hwys 45 and 21, you can ride more miles than your seat can last. "
