If your child has autism and your hoping this school will go out on a limb for your child your totally wrong. I trusted them to be kind and understanding and they were not. Not very caring at all , rude , ignorant to child involved. They have ZERO training when it comes to a child with autism and being patient and kind. They are not . The principal is an overgrown teenager at best with no compassion for a child going through a meltdown or having a communication problem or being “ different “ Many times had to pick my child up because there were “ problems” going on they could not handle. Upon picking my child up teacher and principal stood there holding my child’s hand could only tell me all the wrong my child did. When we proceeded to leave neither the principal or the teacher could say goodbye to my child. they just walked away. heartless. Like i said he’s an overgrown teenager. I had such high hopes at this school for my child and in the end … the day before the last day THEY inform us that they are shipping my child off to a different school. Was in shock. my child never got to say goodbye to friends that were met. Teachers or principal couldn’t be bothered to even say goodbye to my child. And now to break the bad news to the child that they’re not wanted and they won’t see friends anymore. And i never felt welcome at Park School. So if your child has autism this school is not trained to make them feel welcome. They’ll just ship the kid off to a buffet school. If i could give less than the one star i gave it i would .
