"Great area if you plan to drive to 10-15 min out of a lower income neighborhood, it’s not the same as Kendall and it shouldn’t pretend 2b"
  • Rick Gardner
"Walkable, bike friendly, buses, future light rail station, retail development, centrally located to entertainment, quiet, and sidewalks."
  • Trulia User
"Not a family friendly area, lots of homeless in the general area. Not very many good shops or stores in the local area"
  • Trulia User
"I have lived in this neighborhood off and on throughout my adult life. I have had the best of neighbors. Genuine people who are kind, respectful, helpful and maintain their homes with great pride. "
  • Trulia User
"I have lived in the area for over 10 years with my family. It is typically a quiet neighborhood. Most of the neighbors have also been in the area for over 10 years and a lot of us know each other and have seen each other’s family grow. The downtown and nightlife is about five minutes away they are you can find all types of restaurants art shows music shows dancing clubs and much more. They are also a variety of parks some with museums others with running/walking areas (dog friendly), kid play areas, fishing areas, basketball courts, even/show areas as well! "
  • Ivy P. (.
"Gentrification city!! Love this neighborhood. Everyone minds there own business. Not too much crime. Surrounded by grocery stores, convenient stores, pharmacies, dispensaries, restaurants. "
  • Kendall Whittier Neighbor

  • Allie L.
"Mostly all neighbors know each other and watch out for each other. Everyone is to themselves and respect your privacy. It’s a growing area and close to many things, downtown, cherry street, Brookside, Riverside, Parks, and a number of museums in the surrounding area!"
  • Russell S.
"Lots of people walking with dogs in the neighborhood. I see them all the time. Small parks around also for walking your dogs. "
  • Patricia F. R.
"Peaceful...Friendly...Have Great Neighbors....Houses are nice old Neighborhood feel...Prices are reasonable...Due to no Sidewalks- makes walking around scary as sometimes drivers go too fast!!"
  • Patricia F. R.
"Circle Cinema Events...Really Need A Great Grocery Store!! Had several auto break-ins & theft. Not as walkable as like.."
  • Samantha C.
"There are a lot of dogs in the neighborhood, once one barks they all bark. We walk our dog through the neighborhood all the time. "
  • Kristin E.
"I live in the area off of 3rd Zunis & I love it HOWEVER, I can’t say I feel completely safe being outside in the area after dark. Especially being a female that lives alone. I have a very nice neighbor that is very friendly. With him being directly next to me (duplex), I feel much safer. Not to mention I have 5 locks on my doors :) "
  • Ssumrall62
"It is safe, people are friendly. Large variety of residents which makes a neighborhood interesting. "
  • Caleb G.
"I was born, literally in this neighborhood. I’ve seen the changes this neighborhood has gone thru for good and for worse. But what I’ve seen most recently is the tremendous changes going near here. I’ve seen old buildings transform to something new, and its still getting better."
  • Caleb G.
"We are within walking distance to shopping areas, the Pearl District, route 66, and new refreshing local breweries."
  • Phillip R.
"not alot it's just where I ended up when the barracks for vets helped get me off the streets and get my life and everything back on track and now I've grown fond of it "
  • Phillip R.
"lots of things life is unique its what you make of it and I try to improve my surroundings a little no matter where I go but it's nice to have something to work with from the start and it's a nice community I would just rather love in a house instead of an apartment just wish I could find one to rent"
