9/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageSouth Forsyth High School parking is a wild wild wild west and a jungle without any school personal guidance and order. One time, I came to school to pick up my kid, and there was another parent who had the kid in his car, he was driving in the wrong lane and drove towards the coming traffic!!Today (Dec 15), it is an early release day. Many of the parents came to the parking lot to pick up their kids. Most of them found a parking and parked. Then there are some of the parents who decided they don't park, rather just stop in the driving lane and wait for their kids. So there was a car line formed between the parking lot on both sides. Once the kids were released from the classrooms, and the parking lot was a jungle, no one could drive out. I know there is an assistant principal who manages the parking. However, no school personnel tells these parents that they can't stop right in the middle of the parking lot. They need to keep moving and don't block the traffic.Parent Review4mo ago - Haw Creek Elementary School

6/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThis school has good physical infrastructure but needs to do more in academics. Eg. There are hardly any competitions that Haw creek encourages. We enquired the Math teacher about Math Kangaroo and she was not aware of any such competition. Teachers need to encourage students to participate in Math and science competitions / project work and the school should actively sponsor such competitions. Students should be provided with Laptops/ Tablets by default. The apps which the school district has subscribed to are pretty average. Take cues from nearby Daves Creek…Parent Review9mo ago - Lakeside Middle School

5/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageLakeside used to be a great school that promoted academic development, but has recently shifted focus to promoting athletics. They have peaked in 2019, but lost out the schools further south in the last 5 years.Other Review1mo ago - Check out schools near 2717 Buford Hwy.

"Great schools, shopping and family friendly environments. The roads need restructured but lots of grocery stores and public libraries. Garage sales are common all around. Neighbors are generally Fri fly and the county continues to grow. Taxes are relatively in middle class "

"I lived in the Polo Fields for 14 years, leaving GA six years after retiring. I found that neighbors here were snobs, too busy to become friendly with neighbors. Being from WI, I found this disturbing. The climate is great for winter and fall, but horridly humid during summers. This part of GA is victim to rainfall in the small watershed of the Chattahoochie River so that water availability for maintaining landscapes is fickle. Taxes in Forsyth County are low, especially for real estate. The Forsyth County School system is pretty good. I left to return to WI, finding a great neighborhood and very friendly people and cold winter weather---so be it. GA and Forsyth County were a great experience if you can live with the awful commutes in North Georgia and humid summers."

"What used to be a small rural town is now FULL of schools and traffic. Other than that, it’s perfect. It’s safe, clean, the people of the town I feel like are heard by our little government, people are generally nice, we have the lake and the mountain and all the little parks for sports. I wish they’d stop building so many schools but that’s just the times I guess. "
