Upsize your expectations! This spacious (over 3,000 sq ft!) county home is impeccably maintained and move-in ready. You'll find artisan touches in the kitchen, including dual ovens, a massive granite-topped island with a deep sink, and a separate veggie sink. You'll have plenty of storage with the walk in pantry and all of the built-in storage throughout. The dining area has a quaint sitting nook looking out to the back yard. There is one ground floor room that can either be a bedroom or office with a full bath nearby, a family room, and a separate living room. Upstairs are three generously sized bedrooms with a shared bathroom along with a master suite and its own private balcony, and gas fireplace. The master bath includes opposite vanities, a jetted tub, a dual head shower, heated floors and a sprawling walk in closet. The hall laundry has both gas and 220 hookups. Of course, there is an oversized three car garage for all the toys. And if that is not enough room for you, there is a Tuff shed out back! Exterior features include a freshly sealed driveway, a bear box, newer exterior paint, a double gate on one side for trailer/RV parking, an extra tall privacy fence in the rear, and manicured landscaping both front and back. The backyard has a sizable paver stone patio with a pergola, gas hookups for easy BBQing, and plenty of trees for shade. A very convenient location in close proximity to shopping, beaches, and recreation while still maintaining the desired feeling of A Cabin in the Woods''

"Just visiting for a vacation. So far it’s been a great place to visit. Living here would be difficult though. One challenge would be trying to live a normal life amid all of the tourists. Not sure which neighborhoods would be best to avoid the crush of out of town people on weekends and in the winter and summer. "

"I live on Washington St and Tahoe Keys. Too many cars drive way over the 25 mile per hour speed limit. 2 school buses stop and let kids off every day. Way to dangerous "

  • Dog Dad
"Tahoe is dog heaven! The local dog park is well-maintained with lots of friendly dogs. It’s more popular in the snowy part of the year because most dogs go on hikes with their humans in warmer months. The city and county require registration, but it doesn’t cost too much and helps pay for things dogs need, including identification tags. There are leash laws, but well-behaved dogs who don’t stray far from home are given a bit of freedom to stretch their legs around their neighborhoods, as long as they are friendly and respond to voice commands. Also, there’s no need to worry about fleas, ticks or heart worms, because they don’t thrive at this elevation (6225ft - 10,000ft). That makes life easier for dogs and saves our humans a lot of money! "My commute to work in town is usually pretty quick and painless unless its a holiday weekend and there is a ton of tourists in town but all those tourists bring alot of money to the town which keeps alot of locals in service industry jobs alive but overall my commute and living in this town is alright, can be really good at time and also can be really hard and sometimes pretty bad but you cant have the good without the bad especially in a small mountain town like south lake!
