I realized my son was struggling with reading in first grade. I found out that they were making him memorize "sight words" instead of teaching the proper way with phonics. I was told that he was doing great in all subjects at his parent confference. I also found out that the method of using "sight words" was intended for children that were deaf. A normal child would develop dyslexia. So when i told his first grade teacher, she told me that the district told her to teach that way. My only conclusion is that it was intentional. So whether theyre disadvantaged or not its intentionaly done by the district. Something disturbing to think about.

This school where I go to has safety requirements teachers are very nice they help the students easy ways to learn more about things in the future I love the idea that we all have a 1 fun-week at the end of the year such as fun in the sun yes day and etc but sometimes there might be something happening at the after school program but gladly we all are safe.
