6/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThere is no opportunity for kids to get involved in clubs and sports. There is just not enough. Administrators want nothing to do with the children’s’ success and leave it all up to the teachers to take care of things. They don’t listen to parental concerns and use one test score to choose your child’s entire path. - regardless of you parental concerns. They won’t listen to you!Parent Review6mo ago - Mariner High School

4/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageNo H.S. in Florida has a 90 graduation rate. Florida allows GED's to count as diploma's to earn more funding. This school is above average but you can see the Math scores are still low. What does that tell you ? Most students from here will not be ready for college math. A 4/10 rating doesn't shout " READY FOR COLLEGE ". I was a military recruiter here and did very well with enlisting young adults. A smart student will thrive in any school. I know this is a decent school but dont lie and put a 90 % graduation rate. The Freshman classes were around 800 when i recruited and senior classes were around 400. What did the 400 other kids do? If you're a parent and really concerned about your kids education look into the IB programs around the area. Fort Myers High is highly respected for that and the private school Canterbury ( Ft Myers ) is off the charts on SAT scores.Parent Review2y ago - Trafalgar Middle School

6/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThe teachers are very good, (some), the teaching is very good and as a Spanish-speaking student I have learned and the teachers have helped me a lot. As for the bosses as the main ones have a difficult character, what I didn't like was that they care more about reputation and image instead of making students feel good, too many rules and some nonsense. But as a graduate student from there I recommend it, at least you can deal with that problem, I'm just telling you that as a student focus on your things and never stop believing in yourself.Other Review10mo ago - Diplomat Middle School

4/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThis school has much to be desired. My daughter is a Carson Scholar and has never received worse than a B, until this year. She has turned in assignments on time as always, and the 6th grade teacher Sandra Villela does not grade them in a timely manner. A week will pass, my daughter follows up and nothing. The teacher then marks assignments as late or 0, and my child has taken a D in her class which will surely have her removed from the Carson’s Scholar program this year and she is devastated. She works her tail off academically, in the community, in travel sports, and this is what happens. In addition, my son is in 8th grade here and has similar issues where he turned in work and it’s graded after the due date. It’s infuriating as you can see the time stamp of when the work was submitted and when it was graded (much later) and the kids are penalized. We have spoken up to assistant principals and counselors on this matter which has led to teachers scolding our kids after they were spoken to from upper management. Very toxic, we won’t stand for this type of behavior and if the school will not remedy the situation we will continue to make sure the public outside knows.Parent Review6mo ago - Ida S. 2/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThe teachers we have encountered at this school have been very engaging and have been great with assisting when they have had challenges. They are big on accountability which was a welcoming sight with so many not caring about student homework completion in many schools in the last decade. I did not hear a lot of positivity around this school, but I have seen less drama within the student community and fights in comparison to families I know with students attending other schools within the Cape Coral/North Fort Myers area. I wish there was a stronger support system with sports is the only drawback. I do recommend the school and like the newness of the campus as well.Parent Review9mo ago - Check out schools near 2632 W Point Ln.

"Just bought a cottage here. Neighbors were very friendly and helpful. Downtown Matlacha and Pine Island offer shopping and restaurants that are "old florida"."

"I use to live here. I thought this would be the last place I ever lived. My husband and I so loved this home and neighborhood. Our kids and grandkids moved to Mich. and we are very close to family and moved back to Mich. too. This is an easy home to keep up and we had great fun here too. So easy to drop the boat and hit the back bay. I will be jealous of anyone that buys this great home. ps. The neighbors are the best."
