"Everyone loves our neighborhood! We have an organized neighborhood association and many friendly neighbors who host weekly get togethers in the summer. Many neighbors are active in the community and are long time residents. Caring neighbors, historic homes, and true friendliness make this the neighborhood many people aspire to move to. The amenities include a community built play park at McKinley School, easy access to the bike path, close to downtown with wonderful ethnic restaurants, close to The Centre (Elgin's rec center), 10 minutes from Metra trains into Chicago, 5 minutes from a library that garnered the top national library award last year.
