Room Description

We have a fully furnished vacation rental house 11 minutes from Baylor that might be a good option for some students. It can be rented month-to-month September - April with current availability starting October 13. (It's also available May-August during vacation season at the standard nightly rate.)

Might be suitable to be shared by a few married couples, graduate students, international students, a few families or students with pets or larger friend groups looking to stay together. The lease is $8500 a month for up to 10 people and includes weekly pool care, hot tub care, lawn care, garbage pick up and housekeeping. It also includes utilities: water, power, pest control and wifi (with a reasonable cap.)

It's a 4 bedroom, 2 bathroom, 2 story home with a 1/3 acre yard (fenced in the back,) a private pool, hot tub, garage game room and roof top deck. There are TVs and electric fireplaces in every bedroom. There is parking for 4-6 cars in the driveway which might require some Tetris skills (none in the garage or street.)

Technically it sleeps more than 10, so we'd be open to being flexible. The full lease would need to be held by one main responsible party, but each adult tenant would need to be verified.

"Waco is getting harder all the time to get around in. Traffic is getting worse. Too many people moving in and not enough affordable housing "
  • JASMINE clark
"Stray dogs just running around would be the only thing other then that it’s a quiet area my kids feel safe "
  • Natalie Hill
"I am not a dog owner so I don’t know for sure, but there are lots of sidewalks that you can walk your dog on as well as nearby parks. "
  • John derrick velasquez
"I see dog walking and pet owners all of the time. Everyone picks up the dog poop and are friendly pet owners in the neighborhood"
  • Danielle
"I dunno I haven’t attended any community events in my neighborhood. But Colcord has an excellent Halloween party every year; about 5 blocks are shut off to traffic, everyone decorates, there’s music, and it’s pretty neat."
  • WacoBear22
"The nighborhoods are very confusing safety wise, you can mansions on one block and be in a dangerous part the next block over. I can’t say much about the schools but from what I have heard from teachers Woodway ISD treats staff well so I think there’s probably more retention there "
  • Danielle
"There are a lot of strays running around. And there are people who don’t pick up after their animals. So, I’ve gotten yelled at by 3 different people about my dogs going on the edge of their lawn by the sidewalk. There’s a lot of people who don’t care for their animals and just let them out of their houses, not fenced, off leash, to roam around the streets. It’s really weird. People are weird "
  • Scocinperry
"5-20 minute drive to several gas stations, restaurants and retail stores. Local banks close by along with clinics and dentist office. China Spring Schools are within 5-10 minute drive depending on which one attending. Waco Fire Station is 1 mile away."

"I live in the neighborhood, it's close to downtown, Baylor and I 35. Shopping and dining options are within walking distance. The neighborhood is very nice and friendly, mostly quiet at night. The only obstacles are the construction 🚧 sites in the area otherwise the area is very good and a great place to work, live, or to visit. "
