Behind the cabin is a large oversized storage shed perfect to keep your winter stuff during the summer and your summer stuff during what winter as well as firewood etc. Pinecrest has so much to do both summer and winter. Dodge Ridge Family Resort now is a 2 season resort, great family skiing in the winter and now in the summer it has tons to do for the whole gang, 2 Frisbee golf courses for those learning and an advanced course for those who think they have mastered the sport, professionally designed mountain bike trails on the ski slopes (they rent bikes if you didn't bring yours, chairlift rides to the top of chair 3, on a clear day you can see Mount Diablo! The cafe and bar are open, there are lots of games to play inside the main lodge and outside by the ski slopes, something for everyone. Not far away you can rent a horse and go for a horseback ride, mountain trail to hike, fish in both the lake and rivers, everything you would expect to be able to do while in the mountain is in the Pinecrest area. If you don't know Pinecrest come up and take a look, you may just fall in love with the area, call your real estate agent who can give you a tour of the available cabins for sale.

The principal, Dan Mayers, seems to be a hands-on, pro-active kind of guy and a good leader. Parent involvement seems to be relatively high, at least at the lower grade levels.
