3/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI hate it! If I could put my kids into another school outside of their district, I would, but the district keeps telling me I have to wait until open enrollment. Do NOT consider this school for your child, it should be SHUT DOWN IMMEDIATELY! The vice principal is the absolute WORSE, she is never available, she lied and told me she sits in classes everyday to observe the kids and teachers, I asked my kids does she ever come to thier class? They told me she is NEVER there unless the district comes in.. go figure! My kids have never been to a school this bad!Parent Review4y ago - Roosevelt Elementary School

3/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI loved this school my son was in pre-k special ed and the teachers he had were just amazing! He's now being transferred to Harris elementary and makes me sad because we had a great experience here he learned so much and i did notice a big chance in him. 5/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageBHS is an amazing high school that has something for everyone. My eldest daughter graduated last year and had an amazing experience getting involved in clubs and academics along with making lasting friendships. A plethora of clubs are offered along with many other classes, such as ceramics, fashion, home economics, and wood/metal shop. The gate/honors program is incredible with caring/committed teachers. We love BHS! It's the best in Bakersfield.Parent Review4y ago - Check out schools near 26 Myrtle St.

"Overrun by the homeless, theft, property destruction and homeless animals. Most neighbors keep to themselves have their windows, blinds, shutters closed and locked. Constant fire and police sirens along with fireworks and gunshots throughout the night. Most people try to take pride in their home and property but many are just renters and could care less about the property."
