5/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageMany phenomenal teachers who care about their students. Like anywhere, a few teachers aren’t great but many are exceptional. The office staff is incredibly rude and disorganized. The administrators are some of the worst I’ve ever seen. Abundance of safety issues with weapons being brought to school. Overall, I’m not sure the pros outweigh the cons for sending your child here.Parent Review1y ago8 Reviews - Kellom Elementary School

3/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI’ve been in Kellom prek-6th and I loved this school and some of its teachers, especially the counselors. I only had one bad experience with Leslie Douglas, a second grade teacher that had moved to skinner elementary. She targeted me from no reason, skipping me when giving out candy, not helping me with my work, telling me I’m spelling a word wrong until the due date of the assignment when I had the word spelled correctly the whole time, letting kids pick on me and talk down on my mom, refusing for me to get 3rds when the rest of the class did because of my size, and getting near my face when I didn’t understand a multiplication problem. There’s even been times were the principal called the class up for questioning because of her cussing on accident on the phone. She always put on a good teacher act when my mom was around, Trust me I was never a bad or difficult kid, to this day I have a very clean record so people have no reason to target me or treat me as if I cause trouble. I definitely would recommend this school now that Leslie Douglas has moved.Other Review2y ago2 Reviews - Lewis & Clark Middle School

4/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageHorrible principal, vice principal, and ACP teacher. Did not follow his IEP, did not make any required accommodation for him, got his nurse of more then 2 years replaced after being back 2 days because they didn't like her. Had a conference with them where we came to an agreement on roles and how to work together going forward then over the long weekend they reneged. They didn't bother letting me know that they reached out to the nursing staffing agency and made my son's nurse get reassigned after we had a two hour conversation of how we were all going to work together going forward and build trust. Worst school I have ever dealt with. Then the principal tried to lie and let me know it was going to be virtually impossible to get my son transferred and it would require assessment of my son to see if he was in the best school for him, only to find out she is a liar about that too. I refuse to allow the to bully me and treat my son this way. My oldest went there two and had a horrible experience two. Never send your kids here if you have a choice, especially if they are ACP!!!Parent Review1y ago6 Reviews - Check out schools near 2575 Nicholas Ct E #0.

"We’ve had a mixed experience living in this neighborhood. On the positive side, it’s a beautiful, established area with mature trees and a surprising amount of wildlife. There are also a few truly kind and welcoming neighbors who make a real effort to build community. That said, the overall environment can feel very tense. Some neighbors are quick to report minor issues, and there seems to be a strong focus on enforcement rather than communication. We’ve experienced situations where concerns were escalated to the city almost immediately, rather than neighbors talking directly with each other first. For example, after a storm knocked down a tree on our property, we received a notice to remove it within 30 days—but it was difficult to even get a tree service scheduled in that timeframe. Situations like that can feel frustrating, especially when you’re already dealing with unexpected damage. There have also been instances where notes were left rather than having a conversation, which can make the neighborhood feel less welcoming. Overall, it’s a visually lovely neighborhood, but the experience can depend heavily on neighbor interactions. For those considering moving here, it may be worth understanding the expectations and level of enforcement ahead of time."
