"Friendly, golf cart community, walking paths and parks. Very close to the grocery store. It is a safe area with good schools."
  • Jkdess
"It is very peaceful with a high school near and some stores. Many people live here that are neighborly so everyone kind of knows you and everyone watches out for everyone else. "

"I lived in Paddock Lake for 2 years. I grew up in Lake Geneva but most of my family are from Kenosha. & right before moving there I lived in IL for 4 years or so (Cary/Fox River Grove for 3 years & Woodstock for 1 year), I love paddock lake because it's a small town, the house we rented had a park right behind it, then down the street to the left was another park with the beach, then they have ANOTHER park with a stake boarding park in the right direction. We loved our neighbors, and the other neighbor was very welcoming & we never had any issues. The other great thing is its a pass through town, so lake geneva, kenosha/Racine, Burlington, Antioch, are ALL very EASY places to get to, we work in Lake Zurich& Buffalo Grove, IL and the commute although an hour or more, was the easiest & fastest route. We wish we could have stayed, we plan on coming BACK as soon as possible. The only thing we were annoyed by was the main neightborhood road trucks would fly through them, so no matter what time, you'd hear somebody showing off, AND because it is a small town Lakeside foods is the only grocery store within 5 to 10 mins so the prices for convience is insane!! & all stores CLOSE very early, even walgreens, Otherwise you need to go to Antioch or Kenosha. But again, small things in the overall picture. And lastly, crime is low but I'd still lock my car & front door. Sorry its a mile long."

"There are always people out walking dogs and you can walk to the dog park from most homes within the village."

  • Kenp
"Great place to buy and home and raise a family. Schools are great and taxes low compared to surrounding areas. Neighborhoods are quite and crime rate very low. Would recommend this area to anyone looking for a home."
