If you are looking for something where they teach outside the box and help support kids who need more (Special Education, TAG, 2E, etc) then this is not where you want to go. Expect traditional "sit and get" instruction for hours on end with traditional "write a paper" ways to show your learning. Expect A lot of "write a paper" type assignments nightly. The homework amount is over the top busywork. Deeper learning does not happen. Differentiation does not happen. If you don't fit the mold of typical, you will probably struggle. The bullying that takes place is usually taken care of by other students who stop it and there isn't a lot of it. Students who struggle with attendance or are unengaged in school are not supported. We have two children at Westridge who have been at Westridge for three years. We have watched our children grow both academically and socially each year guided by compassionate, intelligent, and well-trained teachers. "It’s near several parks and schools, very well cared for area. You can either be in downtown Portland or out in the country in 15-20minutes. Close to downtown Lake Oswego also and only 1 mile from local grocery store. Very safe area and Lake Oswego police quite responsive to the smallest problem because there are no big ones, lol. "

"Great schools have always been the draw, but now Lake Oswego has the best library in the state, tremendous parks and athletic facilities, not to mention to picturesque lake smack dab in the middle."
